PTCOG is an international conference established for researchers engaged in particle therapy to exchange information. 1422 participants gathered in Madrid from 54 countries around the world this year. Its mission is to promote the science, technology, and practical clinical applications of particle therapy and enhance radiation therapy to the highest standards of cancer treatment.
Hirohiko Tsujii, MD, PhD

With over 50 years of experience as a radiation oncologist, Hirohiko Tsujii is a pioneer who has been at the forefront of particle therapy since its early days. He served as the director of the first proton therapy facility in Japan, the Proton Medical Research Center at the University of Tsukuba, and subsequently led research on particle therapy at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences. His achievements are highly recognized both domestically and internationally, and he continues to actively contribute to the field through his roles as the chairman of the PTCOG and other endeavors.
